Tom Pinder, 1990


The Dieppe Raid on August 19, 1942 lasted only nine hours, but cost nearly 1000 lives. Tom Pinder was with the 14th Canadian Army Tank Regt (Calgary Tanks). He was taken prisoner but eventually was released because of tuberculosis. He arrived back in North America(New York) on D-Day, 6th of June 1944.
